Watch My Macworld Expo Sessions

Posted Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Well! It's been a while since I've posted anything here. I had intended to begin posting frequently immediately after the Macworld Expo last month, but life intervened: my 88-year-old mother took a fall and fractured her hip. I went to Pennsylvania to help out, then came home to a mountain of work.

(The good news is that her fracture was fairly minor and she appears to be on the road to a full recovery -- not always the case with hip fractures. So I'm thankful.)

Anyway, the Expo was great. The folks at Peachpit Press tell me that my book was the top-selling book at the Peachpit booth! W00t!

I gave a couple of talks at the Peachpit Press booth, and I also did a couple of Macworld Expo conference sessions. I'm happy to say that both are available for your viewing pleasure at the Macworld Encore Web site. You can view my two sessions -- "Flickr in a Mac world" and "iLife Mastery" -- at this page. Note: If that link doesn't work, just head to the main Macworld Encore page and do a search for Heid.

Also at the Expo, I participated in an interview with Chuck Joiner, editor-in-chief of The MUG Center, a fantastic resource for and about Mac User Groups. In this 30-minute interview, we talked about everything from iLife '08 to Leopard to AppleTV, the MacBook Air, and Office 2008.

So go forth and watch! And while you're watching, order your copy of the world's top-selling iLife book for $26.39 -- 34 percent off the cover price.
